I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ) }. y8 M* ^9 j$ A# e* }3 ]$ d- w9 p1 Q. ~- M+ ?) v5 r2 o
